In bad times the way forward is reinvention. The Entertainment sector is down; no stage lights, no live audience, no theatre, you can almost hear the sound of silence. To avoid becoming a fugitive to the pandemic, I went back to the drafting table, summoned my Ugandan roots, found like minds in Marlice Baart(co-writer) & DJ NLZ(producer) and Kyakuwa Music surfaced. Because when the going gets tough, the tough get going. My name is Isaac Bullock Kintu. Kyakuwa is another name my mother gave me which means "a gift from God".

I got an opportunity to perform for a king when I was young, tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass (the stage) and I have been an addict ever since. Sharing the stage with different artists inspires me. It pushes me to learn different styles of music while inspiring others. In fact, before the Corona Crisis, I've been privileged to lead different live formations in the Netherlands and abroad, collaborating with more than 800 musicians. Our clients counted on us on Festivals, business congresses, radio and TV stations. We played around 50 shows a year.

With #kyakuwamusic, we hope to inspire colleagues in the entertainment industry to embrace and leverage the open online platform. Most of all, we'd like to inspire music lovers and people at large to search for the silver lining and hold on tight while reinventing themselves.
