Born and raised Austinite Kydd Jones is described by the Austin Chronicle as a "longtime linchpin of Austin hip-hop" that Texas Monthly says "has been representing the city for years." The producer/singer-songwriter has written with and produced for artists like Kirko Bangz and Gary Clark Jr with a festival resume that includes the Billboard Hot 100 Fest at Jones Beach in New York; the Art of Rap Fest at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia; the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival; and NXNE in Toronto.
Having collaborations with Central Texas staples like the Round Rock Express baseball team and MLS newcomer Austin FC under his belt, Jones has stamped himself as one of the rising faces of the Texas music scene. His local NPR station affiliate, KUTX, has said about him, "You’ll be listening to a track that sounds like early-’00s-era Madvillain one minute and the next you’ll hear one that evokes an aura not unlike modern day Frank Ocean," and his Austin American-Statesman has called him "a lyrical ace who's spent over half his life spitting rhymes in Austin and beyond."
