From the rolling hills of Barren County, Kentucky, Kyle Ray carves his own path through Americana, fusing outlaw country grit with bluegrass, folk, and soul. His music, raw and unfiltered, cuts to the core — honest, unapologetic, and deeply felt. Whether delivering a weary acoustic ballad or a raucous anthem, Kyle embodies the full spectrum of grit and grace.
In 2024, Kyle introduced his sound with three striking singles: the high-energy, moonshine-fueled romp “If It’s Taxed, It Ain’t Shine,” the rebellious storytelling of “The Band of Robbers,” and the ethereal ballad “The Angel Poet.” His current single, “Love Me Tonight” and upcoming “River Song”, showcase his versatility — one drawn from heartache, the other from struggle and resilience.
Raised on doo-wop, Motown, and classic rock, Kyle’s musical roots run deep, shaped by church bluegrass and the raw energy of Zeppelin, The Eagles, and Alabama Shakes. His songwriting is a testament to hardship, faith, and the search for truth. “I just want to write good songs,” he says. “I put a lot of emphasis on honesty in my writing.”
A 2024 Bourbon & Beyond performer and soon-to-be graduate of Berklee College of Music, Kyle is now setting his sights on Nashville. With new music, powerful performances, and an ever-growing audience, he’s ready to leave his mark. “More music, more shows, and hopefully more of y’all. I hope to meet y’all soon.”
