From Orange County in Southern California, Kyo (Ian Fujimoto) discovered his love for music as a trumpet player in the school band. From there he tried every instrument he could get his hands on.
After the obligatory emo phase, Kyo found his passion for electronic music. With inspiration from artists like Audien, 3Lau, Diplo, and others, he began to find his own unique sound.
In late 2015, Kyo released his first single, Forgotten Memories. The song quickly found popularity in Sweden and other parts of Europe. On the other hand, in the U.S., it was a slow climb. It wasn’t until his 4th release, Crashing, that he broke through the mainstream electronic music scene in the U.S.
