KYOMA is the story of an artist who dared to start again. Before this new chapter he was known as DJECKMAN, a familiar name in the Dutch Urban and Dancehall scene with more than 30 million streams, a gold record and over a thousand shows worldwide. After eleven years of chasing success, he felt the need to return to the reason he started making music in the first place.
Music has always been his constant. At sixteen he began producing Latin House, long before the genre became popular, and now the circle feels complete as he steps fully into Afro and Latin House. With the support of Sony Music Publishing Benelux, and together with his longtime music partner and engineer Martin Snel, he brings years of experience into a new sound and a shared vision.
KYOMA is inspired by people and places. In Zanzibar he records with local singers, in Europe he works with international artists, always searching for authenticity. His music blends percussion, emotion and energy into a sound that connects cultures and builds bridges.
Through projects like INTMCY, a Boiler Room inspired concept, he creates not just performances but experiences where community and intimacy come first. For KYOMA this is more than a new direction. It is the purest form of his passion and a promise to always create without borders.
