Launched in 2010 with the intention of combining different venues; Mexican Cumbia, Vallenato, Funk, Gipsy, Ranchera and Rock combine within a framework represented in the colorful everyday life that surrounds the small pueblos of Oaxaca. LA CHINA alludes to the lasting presence of the female figures from traditional dance, that of the “Chinas Oaxaqueñas” Historical apparel and choreography are an important symbol of the city and a reminder of the regions multiculturality. SONIDERA: Refers to the lineage of musicians that travel and attempt to gather communities from the pueblos to participate in the celebration of music dance and cultural energy. The history of Cumbia adapted from Colombia has been manifested through cultural changes in Mexico and lead to the movement known as Sonidero: gathering of the community in the streets for a celebration of life in the moment and without eco-social restriction.
