La Cosa Preziosa (Susanna Caprara) is a soundscape artist and field recordist originally from the south of Italy and based in Dublin, Ireland. Her work is focused on the creation of long-form soundscapes as well as short-form audio miniatures, all generated out of her own field recordings collected in different locations around the world.

Recent projects include Invisible Histories (original dance score, Limerick City Gallery of Art and tour), Onironautica (commissioned by RTÉ Lyric FM, finalist EBU Ars Acustica Prix Palma Award 2017), Numphé (soundscape commissioned by Penn State University as a response to a Lucien Clergue photograph) and co-curating Mean Time, a large-scale live performance inspired by the women of 1916 broadcast live on Irish national radio (IMRO Radio Award and New York Radio Festivals nominated).

"My soundscapes capture impressionistic realities, changing moods, fleeting yet precious sonic moments. Through glimpses and revelations, textures and details, familiar sources take on new meanings as they are tilted at surprising angles."<br>
