The indie-rock outfit Labb formed in 1996 with Dana Labb (vocals/guitar), John Sares (guitar), Jesse Carroll (bass) and Mora Precarious (drums). The foursome initially came together after Sares and Labb met while attending the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Quickly, Labb began playing the bar circuit around Boston, but relocated to Brighton in 1999. A year later, the band released their debut album, Sugar High. Songs from the album would later be licensed by MTV to coincide episodes of Undressed. Two years later, Labb founded their own Old Tavern Records and issued Driving Your Shadow. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi
