Lacy was reading notes before she was reading books - beginning her training at the ripe age of 3 yrs old via her 'Mamaw' whom was a piano teacher in rural Mississippi. The family band ('Denim & Lace') toured the southern states for years - eventually appearing at 'The Grand Ol Opry' {when it was still at The Ryman} & popular televised shows, at the time : "Nashville Now" & "The Country Boy Eddie Show" - singing, playing fiddle and clogging (dancing)
Lacy wound up in New York City attending Manhattan School Of Music as a young girl; started playing weddings and private events in the city for pretty pennies: She eventually ended up in California, where she attended a little school called "CalArts" - Where she honed her craft as a composer & improvisational musician as well as a songwrtiter - using her old roots in country & bluegrass music as ammo for an original sound.
After graduating, she appeared on television shows, countless music videos, awards shows , arena-tours for various artists and recorded in renowned studios all over Los Angeles on countless movie scores & albums of various genres..Being a misplaced country-girl, at heart, Lacy grew restless of Lala Land and all of its lalalaness and moved back down south to Nashville to regain her roots.
