Lacy Younger is back and she’s got ‘The Goods’. Singer, songwriter, musician, producer, award winner, international touring-recording artist and label head - are just a few of the accolades attributed to this musical tour-de-force. “The Goods” is a sneering, tongue-in-cheek take on, ‘my love is a drug and you just can’t seem to quit me…’ scenario. The raucous track embraces an edgy Americana feel backed by a rock guitar riff and powerhouse vocals, including harmonies that sport a Motown vibe. Lacy’s delivery sums it up… playful, confident, knock ‘em dead and take no prisoners; this chick is the new ambassador of girl power. Recorded in Nashville and produced by Lacy and engineer Bill Warner, “The Goods” features acclaimed ACM nominated guitarist JT Corenflos, whose guitar work amplifies the feel of the track and is one of the last songs he recorded that highlights his signature sound. “The Goods almost didn’t make the record,” says Lacy. “As much as I liked the song pre-production, I was not in love at first mix and thought best to just ditch it, but Bill insisted I give it another listen, and I began to hear it his way… very grateful for his unbiased ears.” “The Goods” is the debut track of her new album, “For The Record”, slated for release at the top of 2022.
