Formed as a secondary creative outlet from designing games, Laden is a Los Angeles based post-metal band. The project was inspired by people like Ben Sharp (Cloudkicker), Miroist, and Misha Mansoor (Periphery) who deployed a DIY approach to creating their music. However, the music takes inspiration from bands primarily categorized as post-metal such as Isis, Pelican, Cult of Luna, Latitudes, Zozobra, Sumac, Old Man Gloom, etc.
