Lagoon comes to you from GeelogVictoria, and is made up of Ashlee Nexhip (vocals/guitar), Ben Hunt (guitar), and Zac Krillic (drums). Taking influence from bands like WAAX, Ali Barter, Ocean Alley, and Pink Floyd, their chilled out, funk-filled, alternative music is emotional, smooth, and flows like a triple XL K-mart t-shirt.
Originally coming from places all around Australia, the group now call Geelong their hometown, and have played several gigs there already, hitting the local venues such as Workers Geelong, and The Barwon Club. Lagoon aim to engage with the classic angsty teenager, yet also hope to provide a chilled-out vibe that everyone can jump onto. Delicious basslines, smooth guitar licks, and overall zesty instrumentals, mean that Lagoon will appeal to everybody from the stiffest of boomers, to the edgiest of teenagers.
