After the better part of a decade of bedroom production, the Sweden-based electronic music duo started their mainstream musical journey following a remix contest win hosted by Califoria-based EDM duo <a href="spotify:artist:3un05YwofiJaHKHpHOXoWO" data-name="MRVLZ">MRVLZ</a>.
With their dance-oriented, melodic and buoyant sound, they started grabbing listeners attention as well as various labels.
David and Kasper emerged in the early 2020s under the name laikd. Both born in Gothenburg 1995, they started from an early age playing various instruments and later in different school-bands. David found that the piano and various percussion was his favorites and Kasper the guitar.
The duo met in high school 2011 and bonded quickly over their interest in music. Their interest in electronic music began at that time as well when they heard artists such as Avicii, Swedish House Mafia and Dada Life.
While they produced separately until late 2019, the duo began taking root as they collaborated on various projects and wanted to create similar music.
