Recorded in their hometown of Chicago by longtime recording engineer and new bassist, Sanford Parker (Yob, Eyehategod, Darkthrone). Their 2nd album to be released independently on their label The Grind-House Records.
Mixed by bassist Sanford Parker and mastered by vocalist / guitarist Steven Rathbone, this album is hand-crafted by the band. Rathbone explains, “I HAIL I is intended to be listened to as loudly as possible. A thorough cathartic experience.”
Formed in 2003 and signed to Southern Lord Records just one month after their first show. Chicago death-doom metal warriors, Lair of the Minotaur, have released 4 full-length albums, and 3 EP’s; interconnected concept records based on the bloodier tales of mythology.
The band has toured extensively across North America and Europe, crushing all in their path with their own brand of heavy fucking metal that has been likened to being beat to death with a spiked club.
