LaKe Kid is a queer independent artist hailing from Toronto. "Creating music is an inseparable part of who I am. When I was a kid I never stopped singing, and that's still true. These days I sing in subway cars and in the city streets, just for my own enjoyment. I started writing songs when I was very young, not that they were any good at the time. Now, after years of practice and button-mashing, I'm joyous and proud to be able to share what I create with the world. Everything that I am and everything that I've experienced is in my music. I take a lot of my inspiration from artists like mxmtoon, Liza Anne, and Jeremie Albino; but hundreds of artists have contributed to my sound in their own ways. If my music can change even one person's world, then I've made it."
