Inspirational recording artist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Lamont Sanders expressed his gratitude to God on his latest Billboard Gospel Airplay #1 single ‘He Kept Me’. Lifted from his February 2020 EP ‘He’s A Keeper’ (Fred Jerkins Music/Darkchild Gospel/Bear Tag Entertainment) debuted at #1 on the official Billboard Gospel National Airplay radio chart in September 2022.
Lamont performed on the 37th Annual Stellar Awards as an emerging artist. Lauded by music critic Bob Marovich (journalofgospelmusic.com) he states on the track ‘He Kept Me, “Sanders expresses his gratitude to God who never left him despite his doubts, mistakes, and lack of focus on the Word. Sanders sings with confidence and muscularity equaled only by the insistent thumping of a drum that opens the song and ultimately folds itself within the rhythm section.”
Lamont Sanders initially launched into the music industry as an R&B artist when he landed a record deal with Interscope Records. He eventually answered the call of God and ministry and returned to his Gospel roots by recording and releasing music full-time.
The singer-songwriter is also CEO of Bear Tag Entertainment and the producer of the Celebrity Basketball Game. He is in a partnership deal with Darkchild Gospel, an Atlanta-based record label, run by GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter and producer Fred Jerkins.
