Diving deep with cultural, geographical and Biblical connotations, 41 MILES, a Christian band, had its genesis at the RNBA Youth Conference Fund Raiser Concert on December 7th, 2018. It was formally named as Landimpou and the Band(LNTB).
The current band members are:
1. Landimpou Gonmei(Jamir) (Vocals)
2. David Dangmei(Keyboards)
3. Mario Kamei(Lead guitars)
4. Thongamlung Pame(Bass)
5. Lungkungam Kamson(Drums/Percussions)
Interestingly, the band derives its name from two important sources - their place of origin, Noney and the Bible. Noney, a beautiful town, is situated 41 miles away from Imphal, and was originally known as 41 Miles (by the Britisher) before the name gradually and sadly went into oblivion from the public eyes, minds and ears. The band members, therefore, had a strong urge to revive the name - which finally found its solace in their collective vision through the language of music. More captivating is the individual Biblical/prophetic significance of the numbers '4' and '1' in the band's name. '4' represents the stateness of "being" - where the mind, body, spirit coexist laterally with the physical world of structure and organization. It denotes a secured environment as well as the need for stability and strength aided by strong values and beliefs.
