Larry Quest is a music producer and composer.
His sound is brimming with references to solid historic soundscapes, particularly the deepest end of the Chicago House music spectrum, translated into a modern interpretation. He composes and produces music like someone who's learned lessons from the likes of such legends as Larry Heard, Boo Williams or Derrick Carter, but also underground heroes like Ricardo Miranda or Chris Gray, melding his practice as a drummer, keyboardist, guitarist and as a former dancer, cutting tracks made for the body and the mind.
In November 2019, the producer made his way into record shops worldwide with his first physical 12’’ record 'Conun Drums', a grooving Hypno House EP released on British producer Jimpster's imprint [Delusions Of Grandeur].
His latest EP, Austro, released on Percebes Música, is a testament to his love for jazz, gospel, funk, and soul, all woven together under a relentless electronic backdrop with clear references to rave culture and bleepy acid.
