Lárus Sigurðsson is an Icelandic artist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, music teacher, poet and carpenter.
He graduated from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts with a masters degree in Art Education in 2017. Lárus studied the classical guitar at FÍH College of Music in Iceland. After graduating he went to England to study anthroposophy and Waldorf-pedagogy at Emerson College. Lárus also learned to design and make musical instruments from a master luthier. He set up a carpentry workshop for disabled people, where he designed and built his own instruments, mainly special harps, the so-called earth-harps (Jarðhörpur), which he made from wood from Iceland.
Lárus has released 14 solo albums, mainly instrumental, ambient, experimental, post rock and folk music. The artist is also a member of such bands as Calder, Per: Segulsvið, Stafrænn Hákon, and Vogor.
