Late for the Sky was formed by the 3 remaining members of 'RUMBLE Syndicate', a touring staple on the east coast for many years. The members set out to reinvent themselves with a new sound that still retained the hard rock edge & energy they were known for. A lengthy songwriting stint by D2e and guitarist Skunk resulted in an album's worth of material. Early gigs were played under the RUMBLE Syndicate moniker before eventually renaming the band after the albums final track, which was the 1st song D2e wrote for the sessions. What makes Late for the Sky stand out is the songwriting, intertwining classic rock and hard rock undertones into otherwise modern templates. Their vocal/guitar duo hearkens back to Page/Plant or Osbourne/Rhoads. Working with producer Anthony Resta, the band recorded their debut album ‘In Plain Sight’. The sound is modern production with small doses of retro spattering throughout each track.
Critics have drawn parallels to contemporary outfits like Staind & Audioslave as well as luminaries such as Ozzy & Van Halen. The music video for the album's lead-off single ‘Letting Go’ premiered on the FUSE network upon release. Late for the Sky have appeared with Alice Cooper, Black Label Society and Queensryche among others.
