Latinsizer an electronic music project from Tijuana native Pepe Mogt, one of the brains behind the Nortec collective and, undoubtedly, one of its most charismatic members. In this case without the northern samples that he uses for his Nortec Collective Presents Bostich+Fussible group and with the exclusivity of using old analogue synthesizers. The cover of the album shows the machines, used on the disc, reproduced and hand painted by a Tijuana street sign writer. The album has a lot of that of trying to put the human side to the electronics and a localist flavor. Although the use of old machines gives a vintage sound, it produces more a certain idea of melancholy than of a retro thing. Something about that human machine that our Kraftwerk ancestors spoke of.
