Launa

Launa is a 26-year-old female pop artist born in Swansea, South Wales, currently based in Brighton. Drawing influence from artists such as Sigrid, LÉON and Dua Lipa, her music expresses a range of captivating melodies, honest lyricism and powerful vocal performances throughout each piece. Amassing over 90,000 streams on Spotify in 2019; Launa’s ability to create a catchy yet meaningful sound has received recognition from the BBC with both her debut and follow up singles ‘You Make Me’ and ‘Thinkin’’ being played on BBC Introducing in Wales by host Adam Walton, who went on to select the debut release for BBC Radio Wales’ A-List after being described as ‘one to watch’. In addition to this, Launa has also made waves with company ‘Spinnup’ owned by Universal Music Group, where she was selected to perform at their showcase during The Great Escape Festival in May 2019, alongside a roster of talented artists. Over the remaining few months of 2019, Launa has been working hard in the studio creating her vibrant four-track debut EP entitled “Runnin’”, releasing on January 31st. In 2020; Launa is working on creating her live show to bring to venues across the UK later this year, and is ready to flourish further into the pop music realm.
