Laura was raised in a musical home where music of the 60s and 70s were also played a lot by her parents and older siblings and Laura credits this upbringing with enriching her musical ear and giving her the exposure to such a wide range of music that lead her to be a keen songwriter from an early age.
Old Wounds is her first single and was written in the first lockdown in 2020. Inspired by her observations of how people behave and cope when conflict arises and how our experiences and histories of conflict affect and shape us. it also encompasses the angst that was felt at the time and was used as a creative outlet for the crazy times that we found ourselves in.
