Lauren Juzang crafts captivating, whimsical songs that blend indie pop and folk together seamlessly. EITHER WAY ??!? is the third EP from the 22 year-old LA native. The seven songs express a confluence of conflicting emotion over her life choices: there’s a gnashing sense of loneliness, anger, and heartache, as well as all the jubilation and hope that comes from getting out of limiting situations. Last year, she moved back to Los Angeles from upstate New York, where she was attending Syracuse University, to focus on making music. She ended up making a project that was more vibrant, multifaceted, and emotionally honest than ever before. The phrase “either way” is used when juxtaposing two options, usually of two possible decisions that will yield the same result. Across this project, Juzang reflects upon the relationship she was deciding to end or not, because either way, it would end with her devastated. The interplay of these emotions, the sound of Juzang deciding which to elevate, which to discard, and which to work through, provides the music with its unique resonance. Juzang has recently begun touring, opening for artists like Zinadelphia and Jensen McRae.
