Laurie is half English and half Portuguese. He was born in London, moved to Cambridge when he was 10 months old, moved to Portugal when he was 10 years old and then moved back to the UK to read for a Degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Nottingham.
He has two passions: Space and Music. He has been an avid fan of space and everything space related since he was about 8 years old and passionate about music ever since he can remember. Laurie started playing piano at 4, guitar at 14, singing at 16, composing at 17 and producing at 18. He sings, plays the guitar, plays the piano and writes the music and lyrics to his songs. He tends to reference and draw from his passion for space in his music. Throughout lockdown he produced 7 singles in a professional studio: “Now”, “Music of the Spheres”, “Soul Dust”, “Waterfall”, “Horizon”, “Skyline” and “High” which songs he released on his Spotify and Apple Music accounts. He is said to be working on several other products in preparation of his first ever album. Stylistically he is often compared to Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi. His biggest sources of inspiration musically are Ed Sheeran, James Arthur, Shawn Mendes and Jeremy Zucker. Laurie performed his first gig ever at Taguspark in January 2020 and is currently performing weekly at Juicebar in Nottingham.
