Great art is never a straight line of short cuts and easy fixes. It takes time to come to a point where experience manifests itself into a creative flow that the world can enjoy. Bringing together his love of story telling and electronic music, Lavender Galaxy is the perfect example of an artist who has lived those moments and then reflected them back in multi-layered waves.
Based out of Boston, he has always been influenced by an eclectic array of musicians including Pink Floyd, The Cure, Kaskade, Marvin Gaye, Chaka Kahn, Thievery Corporation, and literally anything else that moves the spirit. After beginning to create tracks as a 20-year-old, the challenges of modern life led to a hiatus from the industry for nearly two decades.
That all changed in 2020, when the producer wrote a song celebrating his 10th wedding anniversary titled Lip Gloss. From that moment on he has never looked back and has continued to release tracks that surf extraordinary, complex and blissful textures. Rich, luscious, supported by infectious vocals and luxurious grooves, his work is testament to the fact that it is never too late to pursue your dreams.
Combined with his exceptional talent as a writer, he’s produced a multi-faceted assault on the senses by releasing his first comic titled Lavender Galaxy: Paradise, based on the animated music video of the same name.
