Layla Minoui is an Iranian-American composer for film and television based in Los Angeles, known for her deeply emotive and cinematic storytelling through music. With a diverse portfolio spanning in Film, TV, and video games, Layla has established herself as a composer with a remarkable ability to breathe life into stories through sound.
Layla’s musical journey began early, profoundly shaped by her Iranian heritage and the fusion of Western and Eastern influences, writing her first piece of music by the age of eight. By seventeen, she released her debut album, A Fallen Muse. She later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from the University of California, Santa Barbara, followed by a master’s degree in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television from the University of Southern California.
Early in her career, Layla collaborated with Emmy-nominated composer Robert Duncan, contributing to over 200 episodes of television. After battling cancer and in 2021, Layla has emerged in remission with a renewed sense of purpose. She committed herself to projects that inspire, empower, and foster empathy, connection, and social awareness. She views music as a bridge—one that unites communities, encourages self-reflection, and facilitates healing. Her latest project, Journey to Rebirth, is an immersive musical experience that weaves composition, movement, and visual storytelling, guiding audiences through themes of transformation, resilience, and self-discovery.
