By day, he's a degreed meteorologist starting work on his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science. But when he opens his music software, Elliott Fosler-Lussier brings his alter ego, LckyTUBA to life.
Born in 2002 and having been raised in a musical household in Columbus, Ohio, Fosler-Lussier began producing music in 2018 during his junior year of high school, with his first upload coming to YouTube the following year as the electronic rock song Starlight. Fosler-Lussier developed his sound and craft over the following three years, culminating in his first official release, Supercell EP, dropping in early 2022. The final track, What We Left Behind, had already become a staple of the hurricane animation community from 2020 onwards. Fosler-Lussier's first full album came in early 2024 in the form of A Researcher's Dreams, with the title track among others produced during the time in which Fosler-Lussier had been applying for graduate school. The following summer, he released his sophomore album, To The Stars, in which he built on his previous video game and DnB influences by incorporating hardcore, metal, chiptune and trance elements. While becoming a scientist is never an easy journey, Fosler-Lussier still finds respite in the worlds that he creates through his music.
