Le Commandant Couche-Tôt is the brainchild of Berlin based French keyboardist and composer Anthony Malka.
A fictional hipster sailor, a naive explorer travelling through fantasized islands and dystopian visions.
He released 2 critically acclaimed EPs on French based label BMM Records feat. General Elektriks, UK neo-soul legend Omar Lye-Fook, ex-Jamiroquai drummer Nick Van Gelder, Azymuth’s bassist Alex Malheiros
and got remixed by Fouk, Max Graef, Souleance and Paul Cut.
His style oscillates from reminiscence of late 70s French soundtrack
to brazilian infused jazz & disco-funk.
Malka received support from David Blot (Radio Nova), Worldwide FM, FIP, Jeremy Sole (KCWR), Diane Marois (RTBF), Andrew Jervis (Bandcamp Weekly), le Bureau Export, Délicieuse Musique and many more.
