Le Ra is a cross-border, prejudice-fighting band with a drive to dismantle the rock patriarchy. They have had the opportunity to make a career in southern California (U.S.A.) and Mexico, earning a place in various music scenes with the feminine power that characterizes them. Being residents of the border between Tijuana, San Diego and Los Angeles, the band's marked style is evident, because although they are Mexican, the essence and sound are more similar to Brit-pop and the psychedelia of southern California. Led by Mónica Mendoza and started at the beginning of 2010, the band has been around the block, and with this short and at the same time long trajectory they have managed to establish themselves in the hard-fought scene in the north of the country.
