Le Seul Element

The solo project of an anonymous French musician, Le Seul Elément produces harrowing soundscapes that feature a distinctive presence of ominous piano melodies, as well as elements of noise, darkwave, doom metal, and post-rock. The artist's ambitious, unpredictable albums, including 2017's Demon, channel dark thoughts and feelings of alienation to captivating effect.

Inspired by punk rock and the darker sides of classical and electronic music, Le Seul Elément first surfaced with the 2012 release Gin Pleos, an album about a man reaching the end of his life and wishing he could have another chance. Three years later, full-length Meradiam was released by Belgian label <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22ConSouling+Sounds%22">ConSouling Sounds</a>. After receiving a significant amount of praise from the underground music press, Le Seul Elément moved to <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Cleopatra+Records%22">Cleopatra Records</a> for 2017's Demon, the project's dreamiest work yet.
