Leaderboard is a new wave/synthpop duo formed by Thomas Johansson and Roger Gunnarsson in Swedish coastal town Halmstad 2011. Following their mutual 'secret' europop project Intellivision, with an album release on Swiss label Hypersound in 2005, Leaderboard was leaning towards mainstream 80s pop rather than italo disco.
Their first single, "Come on Julie", in 2011 combined 60s pop melodies with an electronic sound with more than one nod to Electric Light Orchestra and Jeff Lynne. It received some airplay in Swedish radio that year, along with the following two singles "This Summer" and the also very ELO-esque balld "Calling You".
In early 2015, Leaderboard's first album suddenly surfaced, including their previous singles along with more well-written 80s pop in the same vein.
Since then a few stand alone singles has been released along with contributions to tribute albums for Secret Service and Shanghai.
