Leah-Brooklyn is a Scottish born and based artist, who found her sound in the West Village music scene of New York City. Inspired in the venues of Cafe Wha? and Groove, by the sounds and styles of the likes of Prince, James Brown, Rick James and more while also incorporating her love for pop, disco and rock music, she created a sound that truly feels authentic to her on her latest project “The Experience”, brought to life by collaborating with “Benny Buck” a producing duo based in New York made up of Tommy White and Dan Munkus
Along with experience on the NYC stages of iconic venues Cafe Wha?, Groove and more, Leah-Brooklyn has performed at the Pride celebration in Barrowlands Glasgow and ran her own events off the back of her self love book “How To Be A F**king Unicorn” showcasing free spirited artists and providing a fun and welcoming place to “be yourself”.
Leah-Brooklyn is known for her high energy and sensual stage presence and her soulful, raspy vocals as well as her spiritual perspective through her music and other creative ventures. Self love is a key theme and message throughout Leah-Brooklyn’s music and videos. She released her debut E.P “The Reclamation” in 2020 centred around her own journey of finding herself, each track themed to reclaiming her power, authenticity, femininity and pleasure. Her new music “The Experience” is tuned to the “love frequency” of 432hz and is a reflection of the 4 years of individual and musical growth since her debut release.
