Leah Sinead, is a musician and writer whose work has quietly gained attention for its introspective and haunting sound under her previous alias, Keto.
Piece of Sky is the first stirring single from Leah Sinead, and is accompanied by a hypnotic animation by artist Daniel Smedley. Piece of Sky, was born out of a solo journey across America, a need to move and seek connection. The foundation is Leah's emotive songwriting. The song itself is a raw and thoughtful self-production built on reflection, experimentation and looking inwards to start again.
Recently, Leah lent her voice to backing vocals on a track from Alan Sparhawk’s (Low) recent record, White Roses, My God - a subtle contribution that fits seamlessly into her understated trajectory as an artist.
Leah cut her teeth performing widely throughout the UK and Europe. Previous releases What We Do (EP) and Blackened Pool (LP) gained her slots at acclaimed festivals such as Green Man, Glastonbury and Iceland Airwaves. Leah has received wide support and play on local and international radio such as; BBC Radio 6, UK and KEXP, Seattle.
She has supported and toured with artists such as Low, Lisa O’ Neill, The Colorist Orchestra, Julia Jacklin and Aldous Harding, amongst many others.
In a review of her album Blackened Pool, The Quietus states “(Leah) imbues millennial folk with post-rock tension, the minimal yet utterly compelling music she makes sounds as outside of time as her voice.”
