Leah Slaughter is a singer/songwriter from Shelby, a small town in rural Alabama. A prolific storyteller, the folky blues vibe of her Americana music never disappoints. Whether she’s singing about heartbreak, friendships, or small town living, her poetic verses, catchy chorus phrases, and beautiful voice keep the audience delightfully enthralled until the last note.
Leah began guitar lessons at 7 years old and she was professionally performing live music with her uncle at local restaurants and festivals by the age of 10. At 16 she was playing gigs several times a month.
Leah started college after high school but quickly decided to pursue music full time. She’s currently gigging several times a week, and writing and recording songs. Leah has a number of original songs released on all streaming platforms and has many more projects in the works.
Leah now lives in Auburn, Alabama where you can catch her live at local venues. She also still performs near her hometown around the Birmingham/Shelby County area and she’s branching out to many surrounding areas as she makes more connections and audiences continue to get excited about her music.
