Leaway is a Boise based project that was founded by frontman Randy McCurdy in 2018. The alternative rock band has created its sound through the years of inspiration from different groups with genres ranging from stoner metal, art rock, emo and pop. At the time it was created to now, the band has undergone many lineup changes that has influenced the sound and purpose of the project. Leaway embarked on two small tours throughout the Pacific Northwest in the years 2020 and 2022.
The group now represents itself as a three piece with Bella Bennett on bass and Gavin Verandes on drums. The debut EP was recorded in late 2022-early 2023 at the Tonic Room Studios in Boise, Idaho which includes the debut track "Blame" that premiered October 13th, 2023. The EP is set to release in the coming weeks.
The band is now in the process of creating their first full length album and will continue to grow into the amazing Boise music scene and beyond.
