Leggy

Leggy is a garage-pop band from Cincinnati, Ohio, known for their raw, energetic sound that blends elements of punk, pop, and indie rock. The band currently consists of Veronique Allaer (vocals and guitar), Sarah Hanselman (bass), Chris Campbell (drums) and Alessandro Corona (keys). Their music is often described as a mix of catchy, jangly guitar riffs paired with punchy, feminist-driven lyrics.

Since forming in the mid-2010s, Leggy has gained a reputation for their high-energy performances and DIY ethic, which has resonated with both local and international indie music communities. Their sound combines melodic pop-punk with a lo-fi garage rock aesthetic, drawing comparisons to acts like Sleater-Kinney and The Coathangers. Founding member and original bassist Kirsten Bladh departed the band following a 2019 move to Los Angeles.

Leggy has released several EPs and albums. Their self-titled debut full-length album in 2016 on London music label Damnably helped solidify their place in the indie music scene. Their music often features themes of love, youth, and rebellion, delivered with a sharp, punk attitude.

Leggy self released “Dramatica” in 2023 and have since earned support slots with Cursive, Otoboke Beaver, and Olivia Jean.
