leift（レフト） / シンガー・プロデューサー

リラックストーンのボーカル、繊細で整然とした歌詞とメロディ、品性と荒々しさを共存させたサウンドが特徴。leiftの名は、利き手「left（左）」と必要なもの以外を手放す（leaveの過去形）意味を込め、中心の「i（自分）」は「自らの中心は常に自分」として据えられている。作曲家・音楽プロデューサーのKOTARO SAITOが、心の奥底にある想いを自ら言語化するプロジェクト。作詞作曲はもちろん、ヴィンテージシンセサイザーやアナログ機器を駆使して自らトラックメイクやミキシングを行う。

2ndシングル『leaves』は、TVアニメ『ユーレイデコ』がイメージソングに起用され、2023年4月にファーストアルバム『Beige』をリリース。表参道WALL&WALLでのワンマンライブを盛況に収める。その後、smiidaをフィーチャーしたシングル『Peel』がSpotifyプレイリスト「ブルーにこんがらがって」、kim taehoonをフィーチャーした『Soda』、安次嶺希和子をフィーチャーした『Orangette』が共に「エレクトロポリス」の表紙に選出される。2024年4月、コラボ作品群『Citrus』をリリース。Amazon Music「BREAKTHROUGH JAPAN」にも選出された。

現在毎週金曜日21時30分より、銀座にあるマリオットグループのホテル「アロフト東京銀座」のウィークリーライブイベントをプロデュース中。音響にこだわり、ハイレゾを駆使したライブはデジタルとアナログ両者を掛け合わせた豊かな音像を作り出している。4月には『Citrus』リリースパーティも当会場で開催され開催された。

leift (is pronounced "left")

A unique harmony of relaxing vocals, lyrics that depict a fragile and weak heart, clean and sophisticated top line, and tracks played on a piano and a vintage synth and rhythm machine, combining elegance and rowdiness. The name leift is a combination of his permanent dominant hand "left", the word "left" which means to leave behind unnecessary things, and "i" which is inscribed in the center to symbolize the "self that is always at the center of oneself". This is a project by the composer and music producer, KOTARO SAITO , to voice out the thoughts deep down in his heart.
