Leiyah

Leiyah is a uber-talented singer-songwriter who was born to first-generation Jamaican parents in Croydon, South London. The 23-year old prodigy was surrounded by music at a very young age, with several family members involved in the industry, including her late uncle Earl ‘Wya’ Lindo. Earl was an original member of Bob Marley and the Wailers and helped nurture her early interest in music by teaching her to play Guitar and Piano, which fundamentally helped her hone her songwriting skills. Her late father was also a DJ, playing Reggae on the Gemini sound system out of Brixton.

Leiyah honed her craft throughout these childhood years by listening to the legendary Whitney Houston, Aaliyah and Janet Jackson alongside 90’s R&B icons such as Mary J Blige, Faith Evans and Donell Jones. Knowing that music was passion in her mid-teens, Leiyah attended the famed BRIT Performing Arts & Music School.
At the tender age of 18, Liyah dropped her debut EP “Souls Of September” in 2019. This lead her to record an acoustic session on BBC Radio Berkshire and taking part in 'Britains Got Barz' on Pulse88 FM, and performing Apple Store in Central London’s Regent Street, Metrofest 2021.
