Picking up the violin at the age of 4, playing drums at 11, and producing by 13, Lelynd has developed into a multi-faceted producer, singer and songwriter, originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, currently residing in Washington, D.C. As former member of rap trio “Troop 41”, the group was added to the roster at Universal Music Group’s Universal Republic label in 2011 after releasing their single "Do The John Wall”. The platinum single landed at #76 on The Billboard Top 100 and has exceeded 15 million views on YouTube. Lelynd has since crafted a new polished R&B sound with waves of moody melodies over punctual kicks and crispy snares which stem from his rich musical background. Lelynd is also one of the few artists who are fully involved in the entire creative process of each release; meaning: 100% of the music has been written/produced/recorded by Lelynd.
