Lemon Skies are a Liverpool based indie rock band, who formed in 2021 at University whilst studying Music in the city. Motivated by a mutual love of indie music and the thriving independent music scene in Liverpool, Olly, Joel and Dec started jamming together and formed the band in summer 2021, joined by Seamus on bass in Spring 2022. The band are inspired a wide variety of influences such as Surf Curse, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Drums, Arctic Monkeys and Her’s, and have created a unique lo-fi indie rock sound, combining catchy riffs and distorted guitar tones with themes of nostalgia, youth and love in their songs. Lemon Skies released their first single When You Were Here earlier this year, which the band self-recorded and produced, with more new music, gigs and more to come in 2022.
