Born and raised in Harare Zimbabwe, Lennox Takura is a Producer, Vocalist and Songwriter based in New York City. He is an emerging talent whose musical journey began in high school, when he would rap over hip hop instrumentals and produce mixtapes with his friends.
After his immediate family relocated to Johannesburg South Africa, he found himself enamored by the sounds of South African dance music (at the time recognized as kwaito). He would ultimately discover a deep passion for the house music genre, where he now spends the majority of his time, creating a sound that seamlessly weaves together African percussion and modern dance rhythms.
He is pioneering a unique flavor of house music, characterized by ambient vocals and deep percussive grooves that create a melodic dream-like soundscape.
