Honing his craft at the prestigious Edna Manley College and The University of the West Indies, Leo Carmichael's musical foundation was nurtured on his native island of Jamaica with early childhood piano lessons and traditional church drumming. His love of music, and dedication to his vocation, led him to working alongside established artists to which he gained knowledge and experience with performing and touring.
A contemporary renaissance man, Leo wears many hats, astute songwriter, skilled producer and vocalist armed with a voice that stands the test of time. On his melodious journey, Leo Carmichael has shared his songwriting skills by penning for such artists as Canadian/Jamaican recording artist and two-times Juno Awards nominated <a href="spotify:artist:5jrXeH1yhdshRakLMBtkdO" data-name="Kreesha Turner">Kreesha Turner</a>, reggae luminary <a href="spotify:artist:53uGQ1amGHHb0Tzn2A6Oc0" data-name="Courtney John">Courtney John</a> and several others through “In The Dance Volume 2” TV show on Television Jamaica. While tapping into his creativity with songwriting, as a producer, he merges his tracks with elements of Hip Hop, Rock and Latin.
As a recording artist, Leo's core sound and vibe is Reggae, Pop & Dancehall, the aforementioned has contributed to a priceless experience as a performer on Jamaica's north coast resorts and cruise lines as performer of Billboard Top 40s.
With a perfectly crafted steadily growing discography, Leo Carmichael is gearing up for his 2024 sophomore album, the latter to infuse his authentic sound laid to diverse music genres.
