Leo Miyagee is a UK rap artist born in Zimbabwe, who moved to South London at age 4 and later to Northern Ireland at 14. His multicultural journey shapes his sound: a blend of jazz-infused boom-bap, neo-soul, and raw lyricism that explores identity, spirituality, and resilience.
Since 2018, Leo has established himself as one of the most exciting voices in UK and Irish hip-hop. He has been nominated at the NI Music Prize for Best Album, Best Live Act, and BBC Artist of the Year, named a Ticketmaster Rising Irish Artist (2024), and selected by Youth Music NxGen as a UK “One to Watch” (2025). His music has been featured on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, and 6 Music, with his track earning BBC 1Xtra Introducing Track of the Week across the UK in January 2023.
Leo’s discography includes the acclaimed Inner City Blues series (Act 1–3) and his 2024 album Vein of Folly, praised by District Magazine for its innovation and Bluebird for storytelling.
On stage, he has performed at Tramlines, Electric Picnic, Other Voices, Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, Ulster Hall, and beyond. He has toured the UK and Ireland, supported Chip, Open Mike Eagle, and Milo, collaborated with Grammy-winning Blue Lab Beats, and delivered standout sets at BBC Introducing Live and North Star at The Telegraph Building.
Rooted in Zimbabwe, shaped in London, and sharpened in Belfast, Leo Miyagee is building a sound and legacy that transcends borders.
