Leon Gurvitch – composer, pianist, conductor was born in Belarus and based in Germany nowadays belongs to a new generation of composer-performers. He is author of more than 400 compositions & arrangements.
After his debut solo piano concert at the Carnegie Hall in New York (2017) the reviews described him as “a warm and vibrant musician, who has a bright future on international concert stages, as pianist and as composer”.
His artistic highlights include nomination for Hamburg Music Award (Musician of the Year 2015), “Artist in Residence” at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting NYC, Global Music Award (2018), „Leon Gurvitch & Friends“ for UNICEF at the Berliner Philharmonie (2019).
Works by Leon Gurvitch were performed at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, Cité des Arts Paris, Brussels’s Palais des Beaux-Arts, Moscow Tschaikovsky-Conservatory. Features at festivals in New York, Berlin, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam.
His works are published by Boosey & Hawkes.
Leon released solo piano CDs „Remember Me“ & “Poetic Whispers” and a new album of his original motion picture soundtrack “Noah Land”.
