Luke David, professionally known as Lerad is an independent rapper from Penang, Malaysia. He started off writing raps over popular songs back in 2012 as "unofficial remixes" and has now grown to record original music right out of his bedroom.
Citing the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Marilyn Manson, Machine Gun Kelly and Thirty Seconds to Mars as influences, Lerad tries to incorporate them into his music while still sounding fresh and unique. He released his debut EP called "Vixit" in 2016. The EP included 5 songs, one of which was produced by the rapper himself and had one music video to help promote the project. A song from the EP called "Demons" was nominated for a VIMA Music Awards under the "Best Hip-Hop" song category. Another track from the EP called "Angels" was premiered on local radio station, Hitz.FM on July 2, 2016. This was accompanied with an interview as to help push Lerad into the local music scene. In 2018, he released a single titled "Jane Doe," collaborating with his brother, Mark Reuben and made a music video accompanying the track.
