Leroy White

LeRoy White was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, his Uncle Herbie gave him an old conga drum and some percussion toys and he never looked back. Playing in bands he has shared the stage with Ike and Tina Turner, Kiss, Tim Harden, James Cotton, Herbie Mann, and recorded with Tom Wilson and Eddie Kramer. He recorded at the famed Jimi Hendrix Electric Lady Studio and lived and played Jazz in Paris, France.

In November 1987 LeRoy decided to take his rich musical background and start a solo career. He called it the “Soul and Conscience Tour” and it has been going strong for over 30 years. He decided to make music that would celebrate the spirit and elevate the soul. People of all ages have enjoyed watching him play at churches, yoga centers, holistic centers, and music festivals all across the U.S. In that time, he recorded 20 albums with Master Producer and good friend, Steve Rizzo, at Stable Sound Studio in Portsmouth, RI. His music and tour created a following like no other. At a LeRoy show you didn’t just hear music, you opened your heart and remembered who you truly are.

In 2016, LeRoy decided to begin a podcast and YouTube channel so that he could still reach out to his fans despite some health challenges that have caused him to stop touring.
