Reclaiming the simplicity and purity of voice and acoustic guitar for the 21st century, Les Shelleys are singer/songwriter Tom Brosseau and singer/songwriter Angela Correa. Brosseau pursued a similar musical path in his solo career, releasing albums of spare folk on the British label FatCat, while Correa also performed in the indie pop project Correatown. The pair met when filmmaker/songwriter Gregory Page introduced them in 2002, and they began playing renditions of songs by Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie, Sister Tharpe, and other folk greats soon after. After years of collaboration that included a Tom Brosseau/Correatown/Les Shelleys tour in the U.K., the duo released its self-titled debut album in 2010. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
