Less Sky is a duo. Sky Shachory is the lyricist and vocalist. Lesky Monis is the producer and composer. Lesky also masters the tracks.

Sky and Lesky met in 2018 at a martial arts school. Their mutual interest in philosophy—and a shared sense of humor—led to the formation of an easy friendship.

In 2021, Sky decided to learn to play piano. Shortly thereafter, Sky discovered a social media post by Lesky, who was offering piano lessons. In the course of these lessons, Sky noticed that Lesky has a rare talent and passion for playing piano. Lesky also showed a particular interest in Sky’s poetry and philosophical writing. They realized that their time and work together would be best spent with Lesky playing piano and Sky focused on writing.

Sky asked Lesky to make a beat for one of his poems. Soon they had a song and a shared vision as artists.

Sky is from Malibu, California. His favorite poet is Sylvia Plath. His favorite artists include Andre Nickatina, UGK, and Three 6 Mafia.

Lesky is from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He moved to Los Angeles in 2015. His favorite classical artists include Johann Sebastian Bach and Frédéric Chopin. He also enjoys the music of Enrique Iglesias, Dua Lipa, and El Alfa.

Sky and Lesky collaborate with director/videographer Charlie Rude in the production of music videos and other visuals. Their work can be found on Instagram (@Less.sky.official) and YouTube (@Less-Sky).

Less Sky is based in Los Angeles, California.
