Leszek Cichonski

He started early. As a twelve years-old he ....wielded a battered acoustic palying ;House of the Rising Sun.
Since 1991 he's been a band-leader of his own group GUITAR WORKSHOP employing top Polish musicians (Wojciech Karolak, Jerzy Piotrowski– SBB, Jerzy Styczyński – DZEM, Krzysztof Scieranski and others) as well as a blues promotor for Poland.
The biggest so far guitar band lead by Leszek Cichonski plays in the center of gorgous Polish city Wroclaw every year from may 2003 y. During “Thanks Jimi Festival” he set five times the Guinness Record in simultaneous playing Jimi Hendrix's super hit "Hey Joe" . 7411 guitarists set the new GWR taking part in this unique event in 2018 y.
The last three discs : “Hey Jimi” , “The Best of Sudio & Live” and “Soba gram” were nominated to “FRYDERYKI” the annual award of Polish music.
Since 2017 he is an official endorser of Fender Guitars.

The brand new album Leszek Cichonski nad Friends "Thanks Jimi Symphonic" is the next tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Clear and full bodied sound of the Orchestra conducted by Jerzy Kosek. Compositions added new, moving emotions. Vocal parts were filled with the natural expression of Jorgos Skolias and Malford Milligan, who along with Greg Koch wrote the English text for Cichonski's composition "Thanks Jimi." Leszek's guitar is extremely touching in the way he has brought all the nuances and spirit of Hendrix’ music. Thanks Jimi!
